Mid to late March Echium Pininana has started to go! & see below, the Daffs are out, Hyacinths keep smelling over the prev 3 weeks, now the Primroses clumps get split, Foxgloves get dragged from pots they've spent last yr & the winter in & several types of Clematis are already well budded on the front wall. Tadpoles all over the 3 little puddles, Toads going walkabout nightly here.

Below we can see the Echium in mid March with Climatis activity on the front wall & below that, some 'surplus Echium plants' overwhelming my poor old Vauxhall Tigra car. Leylandi!! yukh!!, but wait until they get climbed over by Clematis, my opinion changes then & besides Blackbirds & Doves have safe nests in these.

April 2008 coming towards it's end, only a week to go!, pots which have sat patiently thru winter are now all stirring.
Now 3rd week in April ends & our attempt at getting an Auricula going on the inside of a Kitchen windowsill has flowered!. 'Always fancied them so we bought one a year ago at Narberth Show! & now it has emerged as 2 so we shall split them. (Always been fearful of an attempt at these but they are not as difficult as I had imagined, get a good spot & temperature do not be generous with water at all & leave the poor thing alone!!!
